QuantCrystal ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Steve Horton as a sole proprietorship based in Texas, United States. This policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with quantcrystal.com.
Current state: we collect nothing
As of the date above, QuantCrystal is a static informational website with no backend, no database, and no accounts. The waitlist form is not connected to a server — submitting it does not transmit your email address anywhere, and nothing you type into it is stored by us. There are no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies on this site. The remainder of this policy describes how we will handle data once the platform is operating, and it will be updated with a new date when that happens.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — when the waitlist backend is live, if you submit the form. Not collected today.
- Optional free-text note — the "what are you trading" field on the waitlist form, if you choose to fill it in. Not collected today.
Information stored in your browser
- Theme preference — your light/dark choice is saved in your
browser's local storage under the key
theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect passwords, financial information, brokerage credentials, or payment card numbers. If payment processing launches, card data will be handled entirely by a third-party processor and we will never see or store a card number.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Google Fonts, Google Tag Manager, or any Google service. Webfonts are self-hosted from this domain, so loading a page here does not generate a request to any font CDN.
- We do not use Facebook Pixel or any advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking technology.
2. How we would use your information
Once the waitlist is operating, an email address you provide would be used to:
- Notify you when access opens.
- Communicate with you about your account or subscription, if you create one.
- Respond to inquiries you send us.
We do not and will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. Data storage and security
No personal data is currently stored. When the backend launches, subscriber data will be held in the platform's hosted database, all transmission will use HTTPS, and we will apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
4. Third-party services
This site is a static build. Once the platform is operating we expect to rely on the following categories of third party, and this section will be updated to name each specific provider before any of your data reaches it:
- Hosting and CDN — may process your IP address for delivery and security.
- Application hosting — the Trismegistus engine and API backend.
- Email delivery — for waitlist and account notifications.
- Payment processing — if and when paid tiers launch; handles card data directly.
- Market data providers — no user data is shared with them; we request market data only.
- Anthropic — AI analysis. Analysis runs on market data. No user personal data is sent for that purpose.
5. Cookies
QuantCrystal sets no cookies of its own. We use no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, and no cookie-based analytics. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary technical cookies for security and performance; these do not track you across websites.
6. Your rights
Where we hold personal data about you, you have the right to request access to it, correction of it, or its deletion, and to unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in that email. Since we currently hold no data, there is presently nothing to access or delete.
EU/EEA and UK residents
If you are in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction of processing, and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Where we process an email address you gave us, the legal basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.
7. Children's privacy
QuantCrystal is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
8. Data retention
Where data is held, we retain it while your waitlist enrollment or account remains active. On unsubscribe or a deletion request, personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying data may be retained indefinitely.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Because the current version describes a site that collects nothing, expect this page to change materially before any data collection begins.
10. Relationship to MarketCrystal
QuantCrystal and MarketCrystal (marketcrystal.ai) are operated by the same owner but are separate sites on separate domains, with separate browser storage. MarketCrystal has its own privacy policy governing its own data practices; this policy does not cover that site.
